Moving Through Tamas

Break up stagnancy and inertia in the mind and body through a vinyasa practice to clear “tamas.” In Sanskrit, “tamas” is the quality of darkness and ignorance. When we are experiencing greater tamas in life, we can feel stuck, heavy, lethargic, and resistant to breaking toxic cycles. This is a flow to break out of stuckness, step up in the face of friction (or challenge) and allow for change.

What to expect: Working towards the pose Baby Grasshopper - Bala Parsva Bhuja Dandasana. It involves twisting, hamstring stretching, forward folding, IT band stretches and some hip opening.

Suggested Props: Two bricks, a strap
