A Flow for Grounding, Strength & Stability
Welcome to a practice designed to cultivate what Ayurveda calls “Ojas.” Ojas is our immune-boosting life force. It is expressed through vitality and considered to be the refined essence of Kapha dosha (the Ayurvedic constitution composed of Earth and Water elements). In this Ayurvedic yoga flow, we will explore a variety of hip opening poses to connect to these two elements and cultivate a sense of grounding, connection to earth, inner strength and stability through transition and balance.
What to expect: Dirga 3 part breath for nervous system support, followed by a series of postures aimed to invite hip opening. Think warrior 2, skandasana, tree, figure 4, all working towards hand to big toe pose.
Suggested Props: Two bricks at front of mat.
